SERGAS is the autonomous administrative body responsible for the management of public health in the Spanish region of Galicia. The resources that compose the Galician public healthcare network are distributed in 7 integrated management areas, one of which is the Health Area of A Coruña and Cee (ASACEC). ASACEC is composed of 5 hospitals, 59 primary care centers, 12 consulting rooms and 13 continuous-care points; accounting for more than 8.000 professionals attending the healthcare needs of more than half-million population, distributed in a land area of 2.754 Km2, with a diverse population density ranging from less than 100 people/Km2 to more than 6.000 people/Km2. This situation brings challenges to the daily operations of the health services and makes ASACEC of special interest to the solutions that UAVs can bring. The team involved in the project is composed of the Medical Director, the Hospital Care Director, the Support Processes Director (ex-coordinator of ASACEC laboratories), the Head of the cryobiology service (ex-Medical Director and ex-Director of ASACEC transplant programme) and the Head of Internal Order and Security of the Health Area.
