INIBIC the Galician Public Foundation for Biomedical Research INIBIC is the entity responsible for the promotion, management, and development of research and innovation in the Healthcare Areas of A Coruña and Ferrol, as well as for the dissemination and transfer of the results obtained to society. It is an institution established in 1991, declared to be of Health Interest and under the oversight of the Foundations Protectorate managed by the Galician Regional Ministry of Health (Consellería de Sanidade de la Xunta de Galicia). The Foundation serves as the sole managing body of the Biomedical Research Institute of A Coruña (INIBIC), which is made up of research groups from the Integrated Management Area of A Coruña and the University of A Coruña. Its aim is to create a stable framework for collaboration that integrates both basic and clinical research carried out in our geographical area, enabling a more effective transfer to society of the scientific advances achieved in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases. It is also responsible for managing courses at the Technological Training Center (CTF), recognized as an international reference center in the field of training and education of healthcare professionals. The center actively participates in research projects on health education and innovation in teaching technologies.
